It was Shy Stu's birthday this week, I hope you like this little creation I have made for her.
The papers are the fabulous 'A Ladies Diary' from Graphic 45, almost too gorgeous to use unless it's for a very special person.

My Little Box of Wishes
I thought I would enter Hels' Sunday Stamper Challenge this week, entitled, WISH.
My little box of wishes is a painted matchbox filled with my typed wishes.
I have stamped the 'Wishes' tag with a Stampers Anonymous Stamp on shrink plastic and coloured with 'Currant' and 'Stream' Alcohol Inks.
On the drawer of the box, a couple of coats of gesso, then a coat of PaperArty's Fresco Finish in 'Dolly Mix.' When dry, a coat of Crackle Glaze and once that is dry a coat of 'London Fog.'
The matchbox cover is coated with the same colours but the top coat is dragged out with a baby wipe, a really easy and effective technique. Then a smudge of 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink.
The main image is a Darkroom Door stamp coloured with Pan Pastels which has then been distressed, inked and stitched.
My 'Wishes' have then been typed on my lovely typewriter, torn and distressed with 'Vintage Photo' Distress Ink.
A few finishing touches, the Drawer Tag is attached with a bit of leather thong and staples. A stamped Wish definition, distressed and inked. A fabric rose is dyed with 'Stormy Skies' distress, a few punched leaves, a chipboard swirl, a metalwork heart and chain and Voila!
I hope you like. x

No Housework today - Busy playing
My friends have visited today and we have been playing.
Hope you like this, it was inspired by an article by Emilie Chamel.
I used Fired Brick, Dusty Concord and the new scrummy Tarnished Brass Distress Stains through a Nestie.
The rose was made with a Paper Artsy die and Co-ordinations card, it was embossed through a Script folder before being assembled.
I'm going to use mine for a Valentine's card this year -oops don't tell hubby!

Here is my submission for January's 12 Tags of 2013 on Tim Holtz's Blog.
I have written my New Year's Resolutions on the seam binding so don't look too closely!
