Good Morning and Welcome. Our Challenge at
Make My Monday this week is
ANYTHING BUT A CARD so I thought I would share the 'Card' I made for the birthday of my friend, Anita. We rarely make each other an actual card and prefer to make something else.
I decided to make a lavender bag using a Crafty Individuals Stamp and coloured with Derwent Inktense Pencils.
The Back.
This is the 'Envelope' made from a page of one of our favourite catalogues,
I hope you like my project this week and will join in our challenge,
Have a great week,
Rosie x

What a great idea for a non birthday card gift, love that you stamped on the fabric. Are you going to Birmingham? I hope to be there all three days, would love a coffee again xx
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty! What a super idea, I have friend to whom I would like to give small birthday presents but a) feel that it is so difficult to identify what is the right present without spending a fortune and b) not embattassing them so they don't feel they have to buy me something. But a birthday 'card' with a longtime use is wonderful.

ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea Rosie, it makes a wonderful and delightful little present! Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, take care, Ira x

Super lavender bag and I can image it smells gorgeous.xx
ReplyDeleteA great alternative to a card and really beautifully done, love your "envelope" too. I would never have thought of using pencils on fabric, and I managed to pick up a tin of intense pencils at a bargain price from Hobbycraft a couple of weeks ago - I can see me sneaking off to my craftroom while Mr M is watching the rugby! Thanks for the inspiration. MMx
