Pink Lady and Return from the Land of the Flu-Bug

Have had a quiet week after making an unscheduled stop at the Land of the Flu-Bug!

I have managed a couple of hours away from the sick bed this morning (mainly because my better half has gone to work and I have no one to lavish sympathy and Lemsip alternative cold remedies are available on me any longer).

This is made with a beautiful La Blanche stamp, a Marianne Creatable ~ Bird on a Branch Die and a lovely Anna Griffin rose stamp.

The dragonflies are fusible fibres on film - oh yes, ironing again!

The background was created by stamping with Victorian Velvet and Tattered Rose Distress Inks, followed by Brushed Corduroy,

Some some binding was coloured with distress stains, scrunched, dried and tied.
The script panel was cut with a Nestie and embossed using a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then distressed again,
Now I'm off to find out what has happened in the rest of blogland and visit my friends.

  1. Gorgeous work! I love all the textured layers and the dragonflies are fabulous! Thanks for the inspiration! =)

  2. Beautiful card, flu-lady, hope you are totally recovered soon, it really takes it out of you. A different remedy my dad used to bring us very hot milk, with a tea spoon of sugar and a very good glug of Navy Rum in it-1) You have to be in bed. 2) Someone has to bring it to you- it doesn't taste the same if you have to do it for yourself! It doesn't cure you but it helps you to sleep, and you feel better in yourself for a while!

  3. Gorgeous card, Love the image & wonderful colours...those dragonflies are AmAzing... Hugs May x x x

  4. Beautiful card with a lovely focal image and delicate dragonflies. Hope you are feeling lots better very soon and the family continue to lavish care and attention on you in the meantime:) Hugs, Jenny x
