Hola! WOYWW 208 from Barcelona

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday.  As you can see I am on a little break to Spain, I couldn't however, come away without any crafting stuff at all so have brought just a little bit of Parchment work to do for something very special.  I will tell all next week, if it goes well!
If you would like to join in the fun, pop over and visit Julia at The Stamping Ground and grab your opportunity for a worldwide snoop into other crafter's space.
Have fun

Make My Monday Handmade Embellishments

The challenge at Make My Monday this week is Handmade Embellishments.

For this card I have made a parchment rose which was coloured with distress inks and although the photo doesn't really show it they have been dipped in beeswax.
The heart has been made from Martha Stewart crafters clay which is wonderful to use, I have added some Gleam wax.
The parchment oval has been made with the help of a Pergamano multi grid and the parchment leaves are drawn and embossed freehand.

I hope you will join in this week and show some of your handmade embellishments too,

Paper Ripping

The challenge over at Craft Stamper currently is paper ripping and tearing.
Here is my ripped project.

The background and black strip were stamped with Artistic Stamper Stamps, the music strip being embossed with white powder.
The lady is a PaperArtsy image.
Everything is torn distressed and inked and an aperture is ripped out to display the words which are Darkroom Door.
I made some UTEE watches and pleated a ribbon down the side of the music to finish,
Hope you like it,
Rosie x

Make My Monday Green and Yellow

For today's challenge, I have decided to do a heart with this lovely stamp from Indigo Blu, one of my current favourites.

I have coloured with inks this time which gives a really subtle effect.

A couple of the elements have been stamped again and decoupaged.

The yellow button is a bit of a joke amongst my friends who know that I rarely enjoy using yellow, it is possibly my least favourite crafting colour and I am often presented with yellow 'gifts'.
Todays gift of the yellow button is courtesy of Cathy at Threads Workshops at Alstonefield.  Thanks Cathy, maybe!

I hope this will inspire you to play along this week as I always look forward to seeing your lovely creations,

Tim's May Tag

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend so far.
This is my attempt at Tim's Tag this month.

I didn't have any of Tim's rub-ons but wanted to try the technique so found some from Fancy Pants in my stash.  The tag was coloured with distress paints and inks and smooshed and spritzed and generally messed about with until I was happy with the result.

Some stamping, painted lace for the bottom and a UTEE corner which I waxed, a bit of seam binding, chain and an eyelet and nearly there.

The bottle top had MAY written in with tiny letters and beads, sepia accents and some packaging that fitted, it didn't photograph well, but looks ok IRL.

There it is for another month, I hope you like it,

WOYWW 206

Happy Wednesday, all.  It's time to show you what is on my workdesk today.
I am a very lucky girl as I have been sent two beautiful tags from Cindy, thank you, they are fabulous.  Isn't it wonderful to see someone's artwork IRL.
I'm still working on the Pergamano Summer Garden collection this week, I hope to show you some results soon.
If you would like to join in the fun, please visit the lovely  Julia at The Stamping Ground and have a nose around some other crafter's desks this week.

Inspired By - Jane Eyre

This week at Make My Monday the challenge is to  create a project inspired by either the cover or the storyline of the book, Jane Eyre.

The stamp I have used is a challenge prize from Flonzcraft.
The book cover has been painted and stamped with some Darkroom Door Lace stamps, painted over to lighten.

The parchment 'lace' was created using a multi grid and the little roses are parchment also.

I hope you will join in with this challenge and I look forward to seeing your lovely entries,

WOYWW 205

Happy Wednesday everyone, time for a snoop around workdesks all around the world, courtesy of the lovely Julia at The Stamping Ground.
Today I have some lovely new stamps from Flonzcraft and more of the Pergamano Summer Garden collection of which I am busy making samples.
Also, my Craft Stamper magazine came and my artwork is in it - woohoo! (It's the purple one with the chain)
The Tomato plant ( I can assure that it really is a tomato!!) has been sent out to a bigger pot ready for a bumper crop.
Enjoy your visit today, I am off to visit some more desks to see what lovely things are being created.

Bluebell woods

This morning, Bowser and I decided to visit the woods across the road to see and smell the Bluebells. This walk has inspired me to make this card.

Today I managed to co-ordinate the dog, lead and other paraphernalia to take some photos.

When I returned, I made a quick sketch and converted it into a simple parchment pattern.

This I then traced, embossed and coloured with pencils, lightly on the reverse.

I sponged the background with distress paints and stamped some magic tape with an Artistic Stamper Script stamp.  The seam binding was stamped with the same stamp and coloured with promarkers.

I coloured some lace with paint and cut a corner from it.

The whole thing was stitched together with Grandma's Singer and a butterfly was made with film and fibres and stamped.
I added some glitter to give the impressions of the sun coming through the branches and a few beads for accents.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Anything that Flies

This is my take on this week's challenge at Make My Monday.

The main image is Indigo Blu with the background stamps from Creative Expressions and PaperArtsy.
I have coloured the stamp with Promarkers and the seam binding to match.  I spritzed it after colouring to get it crinkly.
The flower is parchment coloured with distress ink and dipped in Besswax.
I have used some of those lovely metal leaves again - I must have nearly used them all up - oh well a spot of  Retail Therapy I think!

I do hope you will join us this week and  look forward to seeing your entries and visiting your blogs,

Spring Time

I have used a beautiful image from those lovely people at Nicecrane Designs on my tag today.

The background was coloured with Distress Paints, stamped and stencilled through with Distress Inks.

The roses are parchment coloured with Distress Inks and the leaves are drawn and embossed freehand.

The watch face was a magazine freebie.  This is the first time I have used these alphabet stamps and I have had them for years, slap my wrist!  Really liked them though and will definitely use them again soon.
I hope you like my tag and I would like to enter it into the following challenges:-

Hearts and Swirls

The challenge over at Out of A Hat Creations this week is Hearts and Swirls and ends very soon so I am rushing this entry in at the last minute.
I think the paper I used on this was a freebie and it makes me think of 1950's dresses and aprons, I don't really know why.
Anyway I hope you like it.

Parchment Pendant

This pendant is made with the new Pergamano Summer Garden Collection

I have used the printed vellums and multi grids, sealing them with Ice Resin.  The bezel is from Indigo Blu and tinted with Gleam wax.

I hope you will be inspired to join our challenge, Anything But a Card at Make My Monday this week.

WOYWW - 204

Happy Wednesday everyone.  What a glorious morning, Bowser and I have been out on our constitutional.  There was a fantastic photo opportunity when the heron ( that is usually harassing the fish in my pond!) was posing beside a beautiful natural pond in the corner of the field.  Obviously by the time I had negotiated the dog on the lead, the poo bag and the phone to take a picture it had flown away, however, it is stored in my own memory bank now.
This week I have a tomato plant which was a gift for my birthday from my lovely friend.  Last year the tonic mug contained a geranium, next year, who knows!
Anyway enough of the waffle, if you would like to know why I am showing my desk, snoop around some others and possibly show your own then you need to visit Julia at The Stamping Ground who will reveal all.
