Clockwork Lady

This week's challenge at Make My Monday is STEAMPUNK and this has given me a good reason to get out these lovely Graphic 45 stamps again.

The aperture has a layer of stamped acetate behind and the keys were made with Martha Stewart Clay and a Gaze The Moon mould.
I hope you will pop over and check out the other DT projects and be inspired to join in our challenge this week.

Halloween

Good Morning and welcome to our challenge this week at Make My Monday which is Halloween.  Now, as a rule, I don't celebrate Halloween in any shape or form so it was a trifle challenging for me.  However, I had this skeleton stamp in my stash and Number One Son had the skull and crossbones and so here it is.

The background and seam binding was Distress Inks.  I knew I wanted a Spider's Web and didn't have one so made one from Parchment.
The bottle is a Sizzix Die which was glossy accented.
The seam binding for the bottom was stitched on the machine and gathered, whereas the seam binding at the top was stamped.
I hope you like my Halloween creation and will pop over and check out the other DT makes and join in the fun this week,

Collage Card

This card is made using another of my favourite techniques - Collage (love it)

I began by attaching some die cut shapes to watercolour paper and painting the whole thing.

Each of the elements was then painted.

Some gold paint to distress and some stamped script.

Shadows were drawn in pencil and some elements were highlighted with Stickles and Rock Candy Crackle Paint.

Then I just had to create a matted background for my card.

I hope you like it

Lady with Lace and Parchment,

Good Monday Morning and welcome to our challenge this week at Make My Monday which is TEXTURE and for which I am the hostess.

For this card I have used a Crafty Individuals Stamp for the main image, distressed with Brushed Corduroy. The background was on glossy card - I used the cheap photo papers from the pound shop.
I made a few of these with alcohol inks and chose the one I thought looked best with some lace I have had for ever.

I attached the inked background and the lace to a card blank and distressed a doily with Brushed Corduroy.

The chandelier is a sizzix die to which I added lots of bling.

I made a parchment panel on a regular grid with freehand embossing and coloured it with Distress Ink.

My leaves were made with Metallic Mesh Ribbon and my rose was a Silk Carrier Rod.  Some more ribbons and a film butterfly to complete.
I hope you will drop by and have a look at the beautiful makes by the rest of the DT and will be inspired to share your own projects this week,

Elegant Ladies and Published in Craft Stamper

I'm so excited today for two reasons, my Parchment Postcard has been published in Craft Stamper's November issue and secondly our challenge at Make My Monday this week is Elegant Ladies.
This image from Nicecrane Designs seemed perfect for this project.
Such a simple card this week.  My backing card was embossed in two parts and sanded back.  The frame and text frame were diecut and highlighted with wax.
I hope you will join in with the fun this week and do pop over and have a look at the inspiration from the other DT ladies.
I look forward to seeing your beautiful projects,
Rosie x
